Operational idols, the schools that shaped you, and the positions you have taken on big topics. What the AI must respect to avoid mistranslating you to yourself.
What it captures
Three blocks. Operational idols: the people you silently consult when in doubt. School lineage: the intellectual traditions you have passed through, alive or abandoned. Declared positions: what you think about chance, freedom, happiness, and other questions most people avoid.
Why it matters
Without this layer, the AI improvises for you the moment chance, freedom, or happiness comes up. Manual-grade improvisations, interchangeable, neutral. With this layer, the AI knows what you have already decided about what matters — and does not drift when you are speaking seriously.
How it is built
Two paths. One: you declare it from the dashboard in thirty seconds. What is written is accepted as-is with maximum confidence. Two: the Proust conversational module asks you indirectly and takes notes — but positions (chance, freedom, happiness, grand topic) are never inferred without your explicit acknowledgment.

Privacy and plan
Available only in the Professional plan. Positions have high sensitivity: passive extraction never injects them without acknowledgment. Explicit declaration from the UI accepts them directly. Soft delete throughout: nothing is permanently lost without your action.

- What if I change my position on chance?
- You edit it, replace it, or delete it. Soft delete, recoverable. This layer is built to evolve with you, not to lock you into who you were five years ago.
- Can the AI infer my positions from my conversations?
- Not without your permission. position_* items have high sensitivity: passive extraction marks them as pending and asks you before injecting. Manual declaration from the dashboard, on the other hand, is accepted directly — because it's a deliberate act.
- Does it export with my portable profile?
- Yes, opt-in via `?include=mental_frame` in the portable JSON. Nothing is exported unless you tick it.
